Let's get ready to rock Western Nebraska!
Thursday, July the 28th, the Victory UnderGround will be roaring in to Benkelman NE, for the Dundy County Fair! Playing your favorite mix of Classic rock, Country, funk, and all things grooving! But thats not all! Joining them will be special guests Joe Parr and Dustin Victory. Joe is the talented multi-instrumentalist and lead guitarist for Whiskey Bent, and Dustin is the amazing percussionist for Sasquatch! Joe, Dustin and John performed for years as Victory Hill. Gates open at 7:00PM and Band is rocking at 7:30!
The Victory UnderGround is a family band that starts with John Victory on bass and vocals. A child of the Seventies, he grew up livin' the words of Skynyrd and ZZ Top coming over the radio as he worked in the Texas and Oklahoma oilfields.
On lead guitar and vocals is none other than Jerik Victory. Growin' up stealin' licks from Joe Parr, his dad's best friend and band mate for many years, gave him the foundation to become one of the most well rounded young guitar players in the Midwest
The wild man behind the drums is Karston Victory. He has ben playing professionally since he was 12 years old. Experienced in all styles of music he loves to kick back and snap with the Reggae vibe when he can. He also brings the bands heavy metal appreciation to the setlist.
Our setlist is over the top! Diverse and high energy, everything from Hendrix to ZZ Top, Texas Blues, SRV, Skynyrd, Funk, Reggae, Modern Country, we feed off the crowd and play what they want to hear!
"The Road" is the new release by the Victory UnderGround Band! Seven songs that will introduce the world to Red Dirt Rock from the Heartland. From the Jim Beam soaked anthem "Whiskey, Women and Honkytonks, to the dark driving beat of "Hell Bent Soul" there is plenty of driving, power trio rock. Add in the kickin' Moloka'i funk of "Never Gonna Let You Go", with the smooth laid back "Pictures" and "Let You Be You" along with the hilbilly blues rocker "Evil Woman Blues"and you will see that the album is as diverse as the band itself. The opening track "Country Mile" puts in perspective all of the awesome people and good times that are had when you are on "the road" with the Mid-Wests hardest working band, The Victory UnderGround!
From Honky-tonks in the South to Biker-bars in Sturgis and all points in between, we love to play and hangout with friends old and new!
